The Asian Leadership Conference(ALC), hosted by The Chosunilbo, is the country's premier international conference where global leaders come together to discuss and provide possible solutions for the pressing issues that Asia is facing today. World-renowned political leaders, global corporate CEOs, and academic leaders have participated in the conference since it was first held in 2005. Participants of conference include C&D-level and senior executives of Korea’s biggest-listed companies, senior government leaders and officials, professors and researchers.

Since its very first conference, the ALC has presented unique themes that address the status of society. In 2005, the theme was 'Rebuilding of Asia after the Tsunami.' In 2012, the conference focused on the future of capitalism under the theme 'Capitalism 4.0: Searching for Post-Crisis Solution.' In 2014, the theme was 'One Korea, New Asia.' In 2015, the ALC set its main theme as 'New Forces Reshaping Our Lives' to address the wave of changes taking place in the current age. The conference provided a great opportunity to seek ways to bring peace and prosperity to the world.

In 2017, under the theme titled 'New Leadership in the Era of Hyper-Uncertainty: Towards Cooperation and Prosperity' and in 2018, under the theme of 'Globalization in Crisis: Navigating the World with New Opportunities,' global leaders and experts of various industries shared their insights on innovative solutions corresponding to countering threats in different sectors of our society.
