Partners can now use the reference design kit to incorporate Cota into their products and take them to market with cutting-edge remote wireless charging capabilities.
The reference design kit is a complete solution for manufacturers and designers to develop, license and deploy products to market with wireless charging technology. The kit contains the Cota receiver chip, sample hardware, relevant software components, testing instructions, that authorized licensees need to create a fully functional Cota wireless power solution within their products.
A one-stop shop for wireless power delivery, the Cota reference design kit is fully documented and reusable in OEM designs. The availability of the kit allows OEMs to reduce the time it takes to bring innovative new products to market and ensures compatibility and interoperability with Cota transmitters. Cota recently matched the FCC requirements for exposure limits of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Further work is still necessary, and Ossia will collaborate with the FCC on creating the authorizations and certification requirements for wireless power.
